Membership Levels and Dues
Full / Educator Membership:
Full membership is open to all public school personnel working in North Carolina, except those in administrative or supervisory roles who make final decisions on hiring, firing, or evaluating other employees, due to potential conflicts of interest. Full members are entitled to all the rights and privileges of full membership, including voting, and holding office in the organization and eligibility for professional liability insurance.
Full / School Support Personnel Membership:
Full-time school personnel who serve as paraprofessionals and school support can join as Associate members. They are entitled to all the rights and privileges of full membership, including voting, and holding office in the organization and eligibility for professional liability insurance.
Student Members with liability insurance OR
Student Members without liability insurance

Retirees
Retirees of AFPENC are not eligible for regular membership but show their support for the teaching profession through participation in AFPENC events. Retirees are a valued member to our organization.
Friends
Friends of the AFPENC are not eligible for regular membership but who wish to support the AFPENC's objective and values. These members may join as Friends of the AFPENC without voting rights or other benefits of membership. Our friends are vital to our partnerships with school communities and other community groups.
