If you have a concern you’d like someone at PENC to talk with you about, please fill out this MEMBER SUPPORT REQUEST FORM. Our Executive Director will be in contact with you ASAP.

As a member, you are always welcome to call our office to request information on your professional rights and responsibilities. Any question regarding education law or your rights as a North Carolina educator will be answered in a timely manner. ​

OCCUPATIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
The Plan provides for damages and attorney fees from claims (up to $1 million in protection per member per occurrence subject to the policy’s limitations and exclusions) arising out of a member’s employment activities due to:

Accidental bodily injury

Accidental property damage
-
Personal injury claim

ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE
AFT provides $5,000 of coverage for all members at no cost to AFPENC. Coverage doubles if death or dismemberment occurs on the job.

TRAUMA COUNSELING
Free one-on-one counseling for all WORKING Members at no cost to locals, for members who have experienced:

Regardless of location: assault, natural disasters, domestic violence, gun violence.

In the workplace: bullying, harassment,secondary trauma, or infected by communicable disease.

Up to 26 hours of counseling with master’s level or higher licensed counselors, with training in trauma counseling.
