Jen lives, works and breathes in the intersection of policy, advocacy, and equity in public education. She is a leader in North Carolina education and is working to build a strong public education union in North Carolina through AFT.

Jen has over 35 years of experience in public education as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, district coordinator, professional development provider, researcher, professor of teacher education and administrator and IEL Education Policy Fellow Alumni. Jen is a proven champion for educators and the students and families they serve!
