Dear Members,

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!  It’s been a difficult decade for public schools, but AFPENC is excited about the future of our organization and the potential to change the landscape of public education in North Carolina.

In January, we will host our annual meeting and share more information and the finalized bylaws at the beginning of the month.  The Executive Board and I will address our goals, and members will vote on the updated bylaws at that meeting.  As we work with our executive board and lawyers to make changes to our bylaws, we need your input. Having our members' voices reflected in the updated changes to our bylaws during such a tumultuous time for educators is so important to us!

Please use the link below to a Google form to share your ideas, concerns, and questions. We will close the responses to the Google form on December 19. Our Executive Board will use your responses as we continue updating our bylaws.  Per our bylaws, we will send the updated bylaws two weeks before the annual meeting in January.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of the board members.

Onward,

Joanna Loftis, AFPENC President
