Dear Members,

On Saturday, January 31st, we will have our annual meeting beginning at 10am via Zoom.  At this meeting we will be voting on the proposed bylaws and amendment changes you received last week via first class mail. The purpose of this email is to explain the process for registering and joining for our meeting.

We want to make a clarification, based on an error in a prior mailing.  In order to vote on January 31, 2026, you must be a member in good standing by Friday, January 16, 2026 and up until the vote.

Below is the registration link.  You must register for the meeting by 9am, Thursday, January 29th. If we get a late registration request, we will not be able to honor it.

It is important that we ensure all participants are active members and, according to the bylaws, have the privilege to vote at the annual meeting. If you have not received the email with the registration link by Tuesday January 27th at 12 PM EST please reach out via email to director@pencweb.org. But, please ensure to check all spam, junk and trash folders prior to reaching out.

Once registration closes, we will review all registration requests and compare them to the membership list.

By 12:00 PM, Friday, January 30th, all members who have registered will receive a Zoom link for entrance into the Annual Meeting. Be sure to check your SPAM and/or Junk mail.  If you do not have it please contact us by 5:00 PM Friday, email director@pencweb.org and we will make sure another link is sent.

On Saturday morning, prior to the meeting, you will be placed in a waiting room while we check membership status. We recommend you join the meeting by 9:30am to avoid delays. The meeting will begin promptly at 10am. We look forward to being together and working to improve public education in North Carolina.

Sincerely,

Joanna Loftis, President
