Update on Atrium Health and North Carolina's State Health Plan

On October 27th 2026, Atrium Health and the State Health Plan entered into a new contract, adding all Atrium Health hospitals to the in-network ‘access’ tier and lowering costs for members and taxpayers.

The new contract adds all Atrium Health hospitals and doctors to the in-network ‘access’ tier. State employees using Atrium Health now have in-network coverage for all current Atrium hospitals.
